Kampala – Nyanzi Martin Luther, a prominent Ugandan entrepreneur and media figure, has called on the country's next Parliament to prioritize passing legislation that would increase local funding for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). His remarks highlight growing concern over the heavy reliance on foreign aid in Uganda's civil society sector. Speaking in Kampala on Wednesday, Nyanzi, who is the founder of Apex Digital Skills and CEO of NUP Radio, said Ugandans are "tired of seeing European Union funding NGOs in Uganda yet we pay tax here." Health Worker Arrested in Jinja Over Alleged Abduction and Assault of 5‑Year‑Old Jinja — Police in Jinja City have arrested a clinical officer , aged 40, stationed at Mpumudde Health Centre IV , on suspicion of defiling a five‑year‑old girl in the Northern Division of Jinja . The arrest followed a distress call from neighbors who heard unusual sounds coming from the suspect’s residence within the health facility.   Authorities say the incident took place on October 16 in the afternoon.
